Headlining the March edition of our LGBTQ+ literary salon, the celebrated British writer reads from his new novel, A Small Revolution in Germany. Philip Hensher skewers history and the present in his work with rythmical precision, typrifed by rich and inviting heros which delight queer hearts and imaginations. A Small Revolution in Germany is about growing up, or refusing to accept what growing up means; its about the small dishonest pacts that people make with their own futures; and its about the rare and joyous refusal to be disillusioned. Tonight Hensher leads an unmissable complement of voices speaking to the themes of this treasured storybook and commentary on LGBTQ+ life hosted by its founder, the award-winning and ever-effervescent Paul Burston. Hensher is joined by Susie Lynes, Jennie Stone and Jamie Christian who all read from their latest works. Polari is a LGBTQ+ literary anchor, spotlighting new and established cultural voices with humour, irreverence and warmth.
