The House of Thirst' is Modern Poetry in Translation's first ever LGBTQ+ focus issue. Featuring translations of Marieke Lucas Rijneveld, Friedrich Chernyshovs urgent poems about transgender lives in the Ukraine, 19th Century Kurdish poetry, Mary Jean Chan exploring Queerness as Translation. and Jayan Cherians homoerotic big bang in a new version by Richard Scott. Join them at Gay's the Word bookshop for the London launch of this summer special issue, featuring readings from the poets and translators Mary Jean Chan, Kostya Tsolkis, Maria Jastrzębska, and MPT Editor Clare Pollard.
