WORKSHOP: inside the audition process with our Artistic Director MATTHEW PARKER 23 June & 28 July 1 - 4pm 25 WORKSHOP: Inside The Audition Process A full and frank investigation of what its like from Matthews side of the table when casting for theatre productions. How does he post a job? Whats he looking for in applications? How best to present yourself and behave at your audition. What makes a good audition chat? What are the regular, surprising pitfalls made at audition? Find out all this and more, with practical examples and honest answers from the Artistic Director and award winning theatre maker of The Hope Theatre, Matthew Parker. The workshop lasts 3 hours including a short break. Some preparation may be required in advance. The workshop is open to anyone involved in casting for theatre including actors, directors, producers etc. Places are strictly limited to 10 participants per workshop date. Matthews workshop really demystified the entire casting process, and especially with the demonstrations of what not to do, gave me more confidence to make bold choices in the room. Definitely recommended! Kira Morsley, Actress Matthews workshop was wise, funny, incisive and refreshingly free of bullsh*t. Demystifying the casting process, he helped me understand what (and what not) to do in order to bring the best of myself into the room. A really invaluable experience and one I would recommend to any actor.
