London on 22 Feb - 18:00 to 20:00
LGBT History Month 2018 Action for Children was one of the first formal Adoption Agencies in the UK, approved in 1926. We are passionate about finding families for children who cant grow up with their birth family. Our purpose is to meet the needs of the most vulnerable children through the practice of finding adoption placements and providing support to adoptive families. Could you give a child a loving home? Its not about your circumstances, its more about the desire to provide a safe, secure, loving and permanent home for a child or children. You can be married or single, gay or straight, male or female, renting or a home owner. We just need you to be motivated and willing and able to make a lifelong commitment to children. Join Action for Childrens staff network, Celebrate LGBT+ to hear about our fostering and adoption services and how you can become a foster carer or adopter. Our specialists will present about why you would foster or adopt with us and the training and support you would receive. Our senior LGBT+ champion and UK Director, John Egan will welcome you to our event and Celebrate LGBT+ chair, Claire Cahill will talk about our inclusive services. All welcome! Action for Children is Royal Mails current Charity of the year and the event will be supported by Royal Mail's LGBT staff network Inclusion Network as part of the ongoing partnership.
