See yourself as a budding Mary Berry or Paul Hollywood? Prefer home baked stuff to mass produced shop bought? Why not enter The Great Village Bake Off 2017. Its a free to enter competition that caters for beginners, right through to expert bakers. The theme for Pride this year is Class of 2017: The Graduation so in keeping with that our competition categories are focused on School Dinners. It could be a cake, it could be a pie. Sweet or savoury we don't mind, as long as it's baked in the oven or steamed (Jam Roly Poly anyone?) it's good enough to enter. You can either go traditional or go all "Heston" with a deconstructed version of your favourite pie or pud. This year we are delighted to welcome back Howard Middleton from Season 4 of the Great British Bake Off as our head judge who will with the other judge(s) select the winners in the following categories; Beginners Cupcakes Sweet School Dinner Treat Savoury School Meal Treat plus an overall best in competition winner If you want to enter the competition you need to register.
