London on 03 Aug - 6.30pm – 9.00pm
The rise of dating apps and networking sites have fundamentally altered how members of the LGBTQ community find partners and connect to one another. In fact, nearly two-thirds of gay and lesbian couples in the U.S. met online. The Out in Tech London chapter will host its first event by exploring whether virtual relationships, within a professional or personal setting, have the potential to translate into meaningful ones. Have apps been effective at facilitating connections with friends, colleagues, and job prospects? Have dating apps simply substituted gay and lesbian bars, or have they actually changed the ways in which we connect with each other? Join us as we explore this complex topic with a group of digital experts from the private and public sector.
