London on 04 May - 19:00
Resident artist Sadie Lee is joined by her special guest, author Alan Hollinghurst, as they discuss works in the Gallerys Collection which have a personal resonance. Alan Hollinghurst was born in 1954. His novels include The Swimming-Pool Library, The Line of Beauty (winner of the 2004 Man Booker Prize) and The Stranger's Child. He was one of the selectors for the NPG's Gay Icons exhibition in 2009. His new novel, The Sparsholt Affair, will be published in 2017. Queer Perspectives, which celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2017, is a quarterly happening where guests identifying as LGBTQI respond to the Gallerys Collection.
