London on 21 May - 10:30
2016 is LGCM's 40th birthday, and we'd like you to join us in a day of thanksgiving and celebration, coinciding with our Annual General Meeting. This is how the day will look; you're welcome to come along to all or just part of it, and to bring friends with you. Our Annual General Meeting will be held at the Royal Foundation of St Katherine, Butcher Row, Limehouse, London E14 8DS We'll start at 11am, with coffee available from 10.30am. This is our annual formal business meeting where members will receive the annual accounts, hear a report on our activities over the year and elect members of the board of trustees. Everyone is welcome, but only members are able to vote - if you're not yet a member, you can join here. Following the formal meeting, there will be a light buffet lunch, offering ample time to catch up with old friends and make new ones! If you'd like to join us you'd be most welcome - but we do need to know numbers, so let us know by booking a 'ticket'. If you've any particular diatery needs, please let us know about them, and we'll do our best to accommodate you. The Royal Foundation of St Katherine is conveniently located next to Limehouse DLR station - you can find directions here. We usually make a charge for our AGM and conference but this year we feel it's really important to ensure that no-one who would like to join us is prevented from doing so by cost, so we're making the AGM and lunch free to attend, although it will cost us around 30 per person for the day. If you would like to make a donation to help cover some of this cost - for yourself or for someone else - that would be wonderful. You can make a secure, Gift Aided donation via our CAFDonate page here. In the afternoon, we'll be gathering at St Botolph's, Aldgate at 3pm for a service of thanksgiving and celebration, where our preacher will be The Very Revd Prof. Martyn Percy, Dean of Christ Church, Oxford.
