Creative & Cultural Network: Arts & Culture For All
London on 26 Oct - 6pm - 8pm

LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender) people have now won legal rights in a number of areas in the relatively recent Western history of humankind. It is time to translate these rights into social equality and opportunities created for future generations of young and old LGBT people. The proposed network will identify and create a structure and develop best practices to facilitate the process. The RSA LGBT Creative & Cultural network aims to work towards delivering programmes with education, arts, culture, as well as sports bodies and other workplaces (corporate, statutory and public bodies) to enhance engagement of LGBT people and bring LGBT cultural issues to the forefront. We aim to work towards creating a resource base of LGBT practitioners for educational, statutory bodies and media for the future use. It is a great opportunity for people who worked as informal ambassadors to work towards Creating LGBT Ambassadorships structures. - Reflect upon rights in various areas with focus on: within education, work places and sports & playground. People who are, and will deliver workshops and/ events focused around acceptance of LGBT issues in mainstream. - Ambassadors who are working with one or more fields to address LGBT equality in all walks of life, learning and sharing the practices. -Create an online recourse for reference for Education, Statutory and corporate sector. The first meeting's agenda will cover discussion on how best to address the above issues and who will help deliver the key goals. The meeting will also generate interest amongst and help identify Fellows who are interested in committing themselves to delivering social equality for LGBT people. he Drawing Room, RSA, 8 John Adam Street, London WC2N 6EZ
