Londons award-winning LGBT literary salon Polari has been awarded a Grant for the Arts from Arts Council England to fund a national tour, starting in September and ending in December at the Southbank Centre, the salons London home. This will be the second time Polari has gone on tour, following last years highly successful tour, which was also funded by Arts Council England. Many events sold out, and over 90% of audience members rated the event they attended excellent. From Page To Performance will focus on performance skills, engaging an audience and promoting your work in a live context. One participant at each workshop will be invited to take part in that evenings Polari event. Workshops are free and will run from 2pm to 4pm on each tour date.
