Documenting the lives of LGBT BME migrant, refugee and asylum seekers, Finding Home gives voice to lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans (LGBT) people who have made Southwark their home, offering striking role models for the future. Programme 6.30pm - Doors open with free food and refreshments 7.00pm - Screening of Finding Home 7.50pm - Q&A with those involved in the film 8.20pm - Chorus with Rainbows Across Boarders Film directed by Veronica McKenzie, Reelbrit Productions, in collaboration with Rage and Desire, a partnership between acclaimed Photographer and Cultural Producer Ajamu and Dr Antoine Rogers of LSBU. This is one of a number of themed evets exploring Black and Asian LGBT adademic and cultural production. This event is dedicated to the brave and courageous LGBT refugees, asylum seekers and migrants who told us their stories. This film is produced for Southwark Black History Month 2014 and is funded by Southwark Council and Southwark LGBT Network Filmed on location in Southwark at; The Gardens, St Peter's Church; InSpire, The Crypt, St Peter's Church; Foyer, Shortwave Cinema, Bermondsey Square; Purbrook Estate, Tower Bridge Road.
