African Health Promotion Summit
London on 30 Oct

Terrence Higgins Trusts first African Health Promotion Summit takes place on 30 October 2013. Organised in partnership with the BHA for Equality and TB Alert, the Summit is the culmination of the Barclays Health Promotion Skills Training Programme. This was a three-year programme training staff from African community organisations (as well as individuals) to talk to other African people about HIV and health promotion. The Summit aims to 'round up' the training programme and share new work being carried out to involve African communities in health promotion. This includes work by participants of the Barclays Health Promotion Skills Training Programme and a number of leading HIV organisations. The African Health Promotion Summit's aims Strengthen networks of people who have attended the training. Showcase innovative interventions and best practice from HIV organisations. Share lessons on how health promotion successes were achieved. Provide a space for learning, networking and establishing contacts. What happens at the Summit? The Summit will consist of a series of workshops. We will let you know the timetable of the day in October so you can chose the workshops that interest you. If you'd like to speak at the summit please register and then follow the instructions on the Thankyou page.
